What to pray for. 

Pray for more conversions. Andrew Murray reminds us that the purpose of the church is not itself, maintenance or buildings. The purpose of the church is to lead people to Jesus and make disciples, Mt 28:18-20. In other words conversions. Conversions as in when people turn from a sinful and godless life to a life in Christ, filled with His joy and peace because they have been saved. Not just saved from a life of meaninglessness or nothingness but saved from an eternity in hell. That is the purpose of conversions. That people may get to know Jesus and be saved. 

The power to save is in Jesus name and by intercession that power is called upon. By spending time in the word and prayer the church has grown since the beginning. 

“We will give ourselves continually to prayer and the ministry of the word.... And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied exceedingly.”—Acts 6. 4,7.

How to pray

In humility and endurance. Pray for conversion in people's life, for people inside and outside the church. Pray for the Spirit to move in people's heart and for Jesus seated at the right hand to intercede for people. Pray for leaders to have humility and courage to share the gospel so it leads to conversion. Pray with endurance for conversion.
