The Ministry of Intercession - Day 16

Pray for the Holy Spirit in the Sunday schools.

We have a great high priest, Jesus the Son of God. Let us therefore with boldness approach the throne of grace. Hebrews 4: 14.16.

Why can we so boldly approach the throne of grace? Because Jesus, the high priest who has gone and done before us what needed to be done so we can have access to the Father. 

Why should we so boldly approach the throne of grace? Because lives are in the balance and God cares. "...I will contend with those who contend with you and I will save your children" Is 49:25. There are powers that contend for our children. Distractions, divorce, and disease. They often get the best of the children. They contend for their souls. But so does the Lord. And He's not giving up.  

One of the ways He contends for them is by giving them a child like faith, while they are still children through a Sunday school teacher that believes in what they're teaching. Surveys show that one of the most faith conveying tools is a Sunday school teacher believing and living out what they teach the kids.  They work in one accord with the Lord's heart: "Let the little children come to me; do not hinder them."

That is why we with boldness should pray for the Holy Spirit in the Sunday schools: We will be in one accord with the Father. Therefore, pray that the teachers may be filled with the Holy Spirit and teach what the Holy Spirit guides them to. That way God's desire and plan to save the children will be fulfilled.
