Report on Day 1, Invitation to Day 2

In our first day of prayer this morning (6-7am) in the Trinity Sanctuary, we confessed and repented of personal sins. We heard God's Word of forgiveness from the daily text for today from Hebrews 13.9 (NASB), "It is good for the heart to be strengthened with grace." When the pointy finger of our sin and the enemy's condemning whispers are silenced by the Gospel, the heart is strengthened. This is important as we desire to come boldly and strongly into the presence of our Father, who alone has extraordinary help to meet our extraordinary need.

Tomorrow, same time (6-7am), same place (Trinity Sanctuary) we will meet to pray again. Pastor Paul Anderson (pastor at Trinity for 25 years) will be on the phone with us to pray for us, and share a recent experience he had with a Ugandan young man related to intercession.
You (young and old) are more than welcome to come and pray.

By the way, the historic revivals of the church differ in many ways, but have one thing in common: intercessory prayer. In the Hebridean (Scottish) Revival of 1949 two old ladies were committed to intercession. In the Welsh Revival of 1905, it was young people committed to pray, "Bend me, Lord." You can ask many of our own people about the Charismatic Movement and the Jesus People Movement a few decades ago. God delights in variety. Have you noticed how fractured the world and the church is today? Race, age, gender, red/blue, and many other differences divide us today. I wonder if the next move of God won't look young and old, rich and poor, with every shade of skin color?

May it be, Lord! Send Your Holy Spirit! We are thirsty. We are extraordinarily needy. Only Your extraordinary kindness can lead us to repentance.
