Shame: fellowship with Jesus, the excluded.

Lord, do not let the downtrodden be put to shame. Psalm 74.21

Even when we have experienced the deepest levels of shame, through intentional exclusion, betrayal, and a public narrative that turns groups of people against us, we have a unique fellowship with Jesus. Jesus was intentionally excluded, betrayed, and crowds of people yelled, "Crucify him."

Fellowship with Jesus, the excluded, is the deepest shame alleviation. We are included in a community of the excluded. What a fellowship! What a joy divine! Leaning on the everlasting.
