New Season Around Trinity

The last 6 months have been largely reactive. It is tiring to be in reactive mode for that long. The last few weeks have been different. We have taken into consideration the limitations of this season, adapted, and are more proactive than I remember! One dad who is participating in TSP KIDS on Wednesdays quoted Chuck Smith (Calvary Chapel) who often said, “Blessed are the flexible!”

1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays we are meeting in person at 9:30 AM (also live-streamed for those who are unable to come) and 4:00 PM. Here is an example:

2nd and 4th Sundays are HOME Churches that meet in seven driveways, patios, or backyards across the South Bay. There are almost 90 people involved in HOME Churches, each hosted by a generous home with shared leadership with at least one of the interns.

Wednesdays from 4-5:15 PM, TSP KIDS have been meeting on the lower lot. This is true FAMILY ministry led by Kierra, Joy, Bekah and an amazing team! The first 30 minutes are a family chapel service with songs, a monthly hymn (this month is “How Great Thou Art”) and our monthly equipping verse. These first seven sessions are focusing on the seven days of creation. I give a ten-minute message as well. We have had a great turn out from the community. Family integrated faith formation is PLAN A!
Amazing Team!
The TSP KIDS Team provides a bucket of everything that is needed for each week. Crafts, instruments, take-aways, lyrics, and the beautiful artwork version of the Equipping Verse.
Participants are scattered safely around the lower parking lot off of 6th Street.
Each Wednesday includes an engaging and funny drama.
We also had our first “normalish” Sunday at in-person worship this last Sunday at 9:30 AM and 4 PM. It was SO good to be back together, even if the setting is different. I suppose we could focus on what we can’t do, but why not focus on what we can do! We can gather. We can sing. We can hear the Word of God. We can bless our neighbors. We had a drive-by woman who asked for specific prayer and said she would come back again. We shared communion. We offered for local people who are not circulating yet to drive by and receive communion distributed at their vehicle.
The amazing tech team led by Neil has made it possible to live stream inside and out! This is making this busy season more sustainable. The first time went amazing!
“Come into his courts with praise!” Psalm 100.4

Welcome Home committee!
