Trinity Greenhouse

Dear Praying Friends,
Jesus’ grace.
Paul writes in Romans 15.30 “…strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf…” There is a possibility that is percolating right now that may open up the scope of our impact much wider than I once dreamed. I am asking you to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf.
The dream involves effectively identifying, equipping, and sending the next generation of young gospel-oriented leaders. The need is great. Do you perceive it? I’m not just talking about Trinity. I’m talking about the whole church! Many, if not most, of the leadership pipelines of the last generation have closed. Bible Schools, camping/retreat ministries, and traveling evangelistic teams were all pipelines for today’s church. Some of these continue, but many have closed or changed. What if there were a pipeline that was congregation-based and prepared leaders for actual congregations?
We have a congregation (Trinity!) ready to host this. We have a proven program (2 interns in 2018 and 4 this year). We have a property that is ready to host up to 8 next year, and a congregation ready to invest 2.5 million into facilitating gospel-oriented hospitality, outreach, multiplication, and equipping on our renewed campus. We have tested the water, and found that there are young people who are interested in coming.
So, how can you pray?
—Thank the Lord of the Church that he has bigger dreams for the gospel of the kingdom than we could ever ask or imagine.
—Thank the Lord for specific answers to prayers that have profoundly encouraged me during some trying times recently.
—Pray for favor with the first potential partner (from outside Trinity) I will meet with this week.
—Pray for provision for the Trinity congregation to remain financially strong as they seek to sacrificially host, equip, and send young leaders for today’s church. Pray especially that the generous Lord would invite his people into a new level of generosity. At the heart of the gospel is God’s generosity. Our generosity bears witness to his generosity.
—Pray for the Trinity staff who is working overtime to serve Trinity AND pioneer this new endeavor.
I will share more information about what I am calling “Trinity Greenhouse” soon. Thank you for praying in the meantime.
Jesus’ peace,
Nathan
