Next Session of Pastoral Leadership Seminar starts Tuesday
Our first session of Pastoral Leadership ended today. Our focus has been on a slow read of Eugene Peterson's The Contemplative Pastor. Wow.
Our next session begins this Tuesday, Feb 2 and will include 14 sessions spanning through May. I'm calling the curriculum, "the Trinity Syllabus" because they are the articles and chapters and charts and concepts that have most deeply formed my pastoral imagination here at Trinity.
The sessions will include selections from:
- Larry Christenson's The Old Landlord and my Leader Values
- Tim Keller's Our New Global Culture: Ministry in Urban Centers
- Robert Webber's Who Gets to Narrate the World
- The Drama Triangle teaching
- Chuck Lindquist's Lutheran 101; Larry Christenson's What about Baptism, and Tish Harrison Warren's Liturgy of the Ordinary
- Tim Keller's Wisdom and Sabbath Rest
- Chester & Timmis Children in the Gospel Community
- My pastoral letter on Marriage and Sexuality in a Changing Culture
- Hartwig, Bird, Burch on Teams
- Michael Frost & Alan Hirsch The Shaping of Things to Come
- Rendle, Beaumont (Alban Institute) Outcomes
- Tim Keller A Biblical Critique of Secular Justice and Critical Theory
- Justo Gonzalez Mañana and Esau McCaulley Reading While Black
