Poem for Matthew 15.1-9
"Commandments of men"
A helpful measure when
You'd like to be counted better
by your own law's letter
"Wash your hands when you eat"
"Be careful of music with a beat"
"Don't dance or go with girls who do"
"Be neat-look clean-its all about you"
These laws in comparison are pale
to God's law which you fail
and fallen short of God's glory
everyone in the same category
When accusers come and point and blame
with the sinners-stake your claim
The pious work and wash and do their part
Jesus gives a brand new heart.
