Oct 2012 Staff Retreat and Leaf inscription
Last Wednesday, the Trinity staff had a wonderful mini staff retreat. We started at Peck Park, where Pr Poul Erik led us in some team building exercises. Then we picked up Chinese food and went to Shelly's house where we enjoyed eating together, and then finished by watching Rob Parson's "Bringing the Prodigals Home" from Care for the Family in Great Britain. Such great points about prodigals and the church like...
-When the Father's house is full of the Father's love the prodigals may begin to return.
-Pray that when the prodigals return, they will meet the Father before the older brother.
The Trinity family showed up Sunday to inscribe Bible verses and messages on copper leaves that will be attached to the new cross that will grace the 7th Street outside wall by the end of October 2012/beginning of November. There is still time to come next Sunday to inscribe your leaf.
Patrick Choy has done a marvelous job organizing and leading the charge for the new cross. He found Malcolm, a wonderful metal artist to facilitate the process. The beautiful cross will display 200 unique leaves attached to the cross. It was wonderful to see our oldest members along with very new friends participating in this work. Just like the church: old and young! Under the cross will be the verse from John 15: "I am the vine; you are the branches." What a great witness, that the only way to grow and bless with grace (Trinity's mission) is to abide in the life of Jesus Christ.
