Generosity Report

 Dear Generous Trinity,

Jesus’ grace. I can barely contain myself as I write this. I want to give you a snapshot of our generosity over the last few years.

1. Regular day in and day out budgeted giving to our local and global mission partners over the last 3 years totals over $150,000. That is straight from your tithes and offerings to our partners in Long Beach, Thailand, Indonesia, England, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Albania, Kenya, Ghana...

2. Mission Endowment grants over the last two years of $50,000 supporting around 40 mission projects. The window of applications for a mission endowment grant is open NOW through November 1st if you or someone you know has an outreach or mission plan that needs funding. https://www.trinitysanpedro.org/missiongrants

3. Global Church Planting grants last year that partnered with planters in Thailand (Karen Baptist Convention), Tanzania (Northern Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church), and T_______ (a sensitive place that is THIRSTY for the gospel).

4. Courage House Tanzania. You have raised and sent well over $100,000 to acquire and help complete improvements on the Promised Land campus that welcomes formerly trafficked girls and kids and gives home (security) and education (future) and “calls them family.” (Jenny Williamson, Courage’s founder). Joel and Stephanie Midthun will be here sharing at our outdoor in-person Sunday services (9:30 AM & 4 PM). The 9:30 AM service will also be live-streamed. You are welcome to remain after for Courage pop-up shop with great stuff from the girls (to support them) and a ministry update from the Midthuns. Joel will also be sharing at our Men’s Open House on Wednesday, Oct 21 (6:30-8 PM) in the Scott’s backyard. Guys, email office@trinitysanpedro.org to get directions or to sign up for a pre-packaged meal (BBQ brisket, Mac/Cheese, Beans...$12).

5. Opened up “Trinity House”, our former rentals to welcome 3 interns last year and 8 this year to be and become leaders grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We lost rental income, but we gained the privilege of helping solve the current and future leadership crisis in the church!

6. Its Elementary project to love our neighbors at Seventh Street School through resources and showing up to help. This year looks different, but we are looking forward to helping when called upon again.

7. Food Pantry, collecting, sorting, weighing, boxing, stocking, organizing, communicating, praying, delivering, returning, ministering to over 150 people a week—week-after-week-after week. Wow!

I could go on. Trinity, it is evident that you worship a generous God who is forming you in his image. People from outside of Trinity are taking notice. We have 6 generous partners who are not members of Trinity who are giving to Trinity Greenhouse (some monthly), our ministry that is “producing leaders grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ” and is the umbrella for our Internship program, Pastoral Leadership Seminar, and my outreach ministries. Www.trinitysanpedro.org/greenhouse.
