Trinity Holy Week and Easter Resources
There are many opportunities for worshipping our crucified and risen Lord this Holy Week and Easter. You are welcome here!
Maundy Thursday will include a service of the Word, and foot washing, the Lord's Supper (with first communion for a few of our young people).
Good Friday will be a vespers service highlighting the seven last words of Jesus from the cross with musical responses.
Easter Vigil will be the first celebration of the Resurrection. It will begin in the garden with a service of light, move to the pool area for a service of baptism and baptism renewal, then to the MPR for the service of the Word and the Lord's Supper.
Easter Sunday will include vibrant music and celebration, a message on Mark 16.1-8 entitled, "?!" and both services will offer the Lord's Supper.
In between services, there will be breakfast for all, easter egg hunt for the little ones, puppet show, and a station to put together homeless packs (including practical items to bless those in need).
Here are the readings for the Easter Season starting this Sunday, and continuing through the Ascension Day/Weekend. The Psalms are the assigned Psalms from the Lutheran lectionary, and the Readings Easter related and closely follow the historic lectionary.
Following Easter there will be a couple events worth participating in. Association Free Lutheran Bible School will be with us on Sunday, April 12 (8:30 & 10:30am Worship), the 5pm will be a normal Table Service. April 26th is Men's Retreat, so Deaconess Sue Scott will be sharing on Jesus: the Living Cornerstone of a Living Church.
All the sermon themes during the Easter Season will be around: Living Church. Since we have been raised with Christ (Romans 6), we could say about ourselves, "Alleluia, we are risen! We are risen indeed, Alleluia!" Jesus resurrection is the cornerstone of a living Church. Come join us as explore life in Jesus Christ.
