Poem from Men's Prayer this morning based on Luke 11.5-13

more than a friend
better than a father
the Lord of heaven and earth
doesn't see me as a bother

asking for this egg
pleading for that bread
the Lord comes to the door
even if its time for bed

whether it morning
or even midnight
the Father listens to
my particular plight

its not what you ask
but Who
Same with seeking too

so knock on that door
regardless of what for
just make sure its the Father
He doesn't see you as a bother
